MotoGP Termas: Crutchlow 'raging' but has competitive pace

Britain's Cal Crutchlow was last night 'raging' about his performance in MotoGP qualifying at Termas de Rio Hondo after missing out on what looked like a certain front-row start.

The LCR Honda man followed Jack Miller and Marc Marquez on to slick tyres as the track dried but, unlike Miller, wasn't able to find the right grip to put in a good lap and changed back, which cost valuable track time.

“I’m absolutely raging. It should have been the front row and that’s just the bottom line. Of course I’m not happy. We made a tactical mistake as a team, nobody’s fault," said Crutchlow, speaking at the track.

"The problem was that when I went back out on the track, I was going really good on my lap, and then I went onto the water with a hot, wet tyre, it was just too slippy and I lost two seconds.

“I made the mistake as well. I made the mistake to change bike in the middle of the session but I think we made a mistake as a team and we have to accept it.

"To say I’m disappointed is an understatement because it should have been front row today. There’s no doubt about it, we have the pace in the wet and dry to be competitive."
