Britain’s Jake Dixon looks unlikely to start tomorrow’s Valencia Moto2 race after a whopping crash in free practice three left him with the logo of his back protector imprinted on his skin.
The RAF Reserves Kawasaki BSB front-runner didn’t take part in qualifying practice after attending the circuit medical centre. He hasn’t broken anything but is in pain and expects to be very stiff after a night’s sleep.
“It was a big crash, I slapped on to my back and the back protector made an imprint. I am in a lot of pain at the moment and it would be silly to even try to go out in qualifying. I think it will only get worse overnight, so maybe me won’t ride tomorrow,” said Dixon.
“It’s shame as we made progress in that session. I will see about tomorrow. I more than likely won’t as I have burns on my back.”
