Morello Kawasaki’s Danny Buchan cruised to his tenth Pirelli National Superstock 1000 win of the year and in doing so moved closer to a second championship; with just one round left he’s now 15 points clear.

The Essex lad had to battle with his title rival Richard Cooper during the opening laps, but once he moved in front those behind couldn’t match his pace.

Eventually taking the chequered flag an impressive 6.3 seconds clear, Buchan just needs a fifth place at Brands Hatch to be crowned champion for a second time in his career.

Bennett’s Suzuki’s Richard Cooper had to settle for a lonely second place, after he eased clear of Josh Elliott in third place. Tyco BMW’s Elliott backed up a first podium of the year a week ago with another strong ride to third place.

EHA Aprilia’s Luke Hedger is still searching for his first podium in the class after coming across the line in fourth for the fourth time this year. He fought off James Rispoli and Jordan Weaving, who finished fifth and sixth respectively.

Northern Escalator Installations BMW’s Adam Jenkinson ended in seventh ahead of Bathams BMW’s Michael Rutter, before Alex Olsen and Mason Law rounded out the top ten.
