Oulton BSB: Taylor takes dominant Motostar victory

RS Racing’s Taz Taylor dominated the HEL Performance British Motostar race at Oulton Park and crossed the finishing line with a 4.5 second advantage over second place finisher, Banks Racing’s Ed Rendell.

Taylor got the hole-shot from Redline KTM rider Scott Deroue, then Rendell got in the mix to go into second. But Swedish rider Alex Perrson also wanted to get into the fight for a podium and at the flag secured third from Deroue and RS Racing’s Jake Archer. Team-mate Georgina Polden finished seventh in the Moto3 class.

Taylor extends his lead in the Moto3 championship after his comfortable win today, and adds to his one hundred percent podium success this season.

“I have been at the same fast pace all weekend and it paid off in the race. I didn’t want to bin the bike but I just wanted to chill out and finish the race,” said Taylor at the track.

JPL Racing’s Josh Owens took the 125 victory, with Welshman Mark Clayton getting second ahead of St Neots Motorcycle Co Ltd’s Andrew Sawford.
