Both Suzuki and Aprilia unveiled new fairing designs at the Phillip Island MotoGP test today as replacements for the now-banned aerodynamic wings.
The GSX-RR’s is more like the Yamaha fairing seen at Sepang with aero elements inside while the Aprilia version is a little more conservative and mainstream.
Aleix Espargaro, who finished sixth today, said the new fairing had improved downforce without sacrificing top-speed in wind-tunnel testing but if the reverse proves to be true in practice, then he will ditch it as he thinks they already need to find another 10km/h to match the Honda and Ducati.
