Rollo makes step up to Superstock 1000 with MSS Kawasaki

Youngster Lewis Rollo will make a step up into the Pirelli National Superstock 1000 class this season with help from Nick Morgan’s MSS Colchester Kawasaki outfit.

The Gifford-based rider impressed many in Superstock 600 this season as he took podiums and fifth overall despite four DNFs. MSS boss Morgan (Small m, big organ) had built engines for the seventeen year old and having watched his progress, offered him a more supported ride the forthcoming season.

MSS Colchester Kawasaki have a long association with Kawasaki Motors UK having ran their official British Superbike and Superstock machines for many years. This season saw them develop the latest generation of Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R with a presence in the British Superbike paddock, International Road Races and in National Championships around the World.

With MSS an integral part of Kawasaki Motor UK’s resurrected Team Green, Lewis joins a long line of riders helped through the ranks, most noticeably Danny Buchan who dominated the 2014 National Superstock series. The tuning firm has a new state of the art premises which they share with leading dealer Colchester Kawasaki.

“This is such an amazing opportunity to be going into Superstock 1000 with MSS Colchester Kawasaki, the experts on the ZX-10R. It’s a super competitive class with some big names in there so it’s a big step up but I think we have the tools for it. The bike is capable of running at the front; it’s just a case of getting me used to it so we can push to the front and hopefully we’ll be looking for podiums by the end of the year,” said Rollo.
