Snetterton BSB test: Linfoot passed fit to ride

Honda Racing’s Factory Dan Linfoot has been passed fit to ride at the Snetterton MCE British Superbike test after breaking his wrist in a crash at the Brands Hatch round.

The Yorkshireman underwent surgery to have the injury pinned and plated, and has been undergoing intense physiotherapy and hyperbaric chamber treatment in order to get back on the grid as fast as possible.

"This was a period I am pleased to see the back of as we started the season in such a good place at Donington Park, so to have that put on hold at the second round was a big downer. The aim of course was to be back for Snetterton because we want to get back to where we need to be in the championship ready for the rest of the season,” said Linfoot.

"It has been an intense time from the moment you have the crash because you have to put it behind you as soon as possible and focus on the recovery and getting back to where you need to be.

“From the operation to now I have been having physio and hyperbaric chamber sessions so it has been a combination of everything to get me back as soon as possible. When you are at home watching the racing from the sofa it makes you appreciate how much you want to be on track and how much you miss it when you aren’t.”
