Successful wrist surgery for Honda’s Linfoot

Honda Racing’s Factory Dan Linfoot has undergone successful surgery on the wrist he broke at the Brands Hatch MCE British Superbike round and is now focusing on the healing process in time for the Snetterton race in June.

Linfoot had his radius pinned and plated in the operation in Harrogate and is due to be released from hospital later today. His cast will remain on for two weeks and then he has a further six weeks before the next round in Norfolk.

“The surgeon said the operation went well and he was pleased with how well the screws had fixed. The pin will remain forever now unless something else requires it to be removed,” said Linfoot, speaking to bikesportnews from hospital.

“I will now spend as much time in the hyperbaric as I can and as soon as the cast come of I will buy an ice water machine to also aid the healing process. I don’t know if I will get the chance to ride before Snetterton, but I believe there is a test there so I will see how I am then.”
