Came BPT Yamaha's Joe Francis got the better of his team-mate, James Westmoreland by 0.1 seconds, in the Dickies British Supersport free practice session at Thruxton in hot conditions.
Francis lapped a 1'17.511 compared to Westmoreland's 1'17.699 with Acumen Industrial Service's Luke Jones going P3 with a 1'17.839.
The quickest rider in FP1 was Stauff Connect's Tarran Mackenzie but he was unable to top the sheets for a second time today and had to settle for a respectable fourth this afternoon.
Gearlink Kawasaki's Mason Law completed the top five with Quattro Plant Cool Kawasaki's Andy Reid, FAB Racing's Brad Ray, Astro-TT Racing's Matt Truelove, EHA Racing's David Allingham and team-mate Ross Twyman all inside the top ten times.
World Supersport regular, Lorenzo Zanetti is wildcarding on the Tsingtao MV Agusta machine and made his circuit debut today. The Italian finished FP2 21st on the timesheets.
