Movistar Yamaha’s Maverick Vinales thinks his team may have lost their way with electronic strategy has he feels there is less and less power each race weekend.
After a blinding start to the season, Vinales has lost his way a little with a couple of crashes and the 2017 M1 - even with a new chassis - struggles in the wet which is something he also puts down to electronics.
"Somehow in the races that we’ve struggled, we modified the electronics and we lost a lot of the power. Every race, less power, less power, and now it looks like we need more power from the electronics,” said Vinales.
"Some races we get really confused, and we need to keep the same line from the beginning, the same electronics. But we’ve changed it a lot during all the races. So we have to work to get this confidence we had at the beginning of the season."
