West ready for full assault on 2018 WorldSSP title

Australian journeyman Anthony West has secured a full-time WorldSSP ride with the EAB Racing team that is backed by Puccetti Kawasaki.

Thanks to the support of EAB, Füsport, Putoline Oil, Green Tea X50, Rivamoto and many more, the motivation, determination and dedication is high for both West and team manager Ferry Schoenmakers for 2018.

West, born on July 17 1981 in Maryborough Australia, started his World Championship career in 1998 and has raced in almost every championship worldwide, including 500cc Grand Prix, MotoGP and World Superbike.

In 2003 he won the 250cc Grand Prix at the TT Circuit Assen in the Netherlands and in 2014 he won the Moto2 Grand Prix on the same track. Because of his fighting spirit, he is one of the most popular riders in the World Supersport.

“I’m very glad to finally announce what team I’ll race for next year. Thanks to Ferry Schoenmakers and Manuel Puccetti I’ll be riding a Kawasaki ZX-6R. As you can imagine I’m excited for this new challenge of building my team," said West.

"I have put together four mechanics with a bike I know I can win races on. I hope to grow my team for the future but right now I’m focused on winning races next season in World Supersport. Huge thanks to these sponsors who are already committed for 2018.”
