WorldSBK returnee Marco Melandri believes that instead of jumbling up a bit of the grid for every Sunday race this year, the entire top nine should be reversed.
The Aruba Ducati man, who is recovering from knee surgery, thinks the new rules aren’t enough as the man in fourth place could have the pace to run away at the front, so nothing will have been fixed.
“I would have fully reversed the top nine finishers from race one. By only moving the podium finishers there's a risk that the race will be even more boring, because if the fourth-placed rider has the pace of the first he can run away with it. Also the rush to play catch up may lead to accidents,” said Melandri.
