Reigning Dickies British Supersport champ Jack Kennedy peeled himself off the toilet this morning to bag pole postion at Assen's BSB round.
Kennedy has been ill since yesterday and was a little off-form in free practice but stamped his authority on qualifying this morning, taking top spot with a 1'39.130 at the Circuit van Drenthe.
Friday's fastest man Kyle Ryde, on the RS GP2 machine, finished second with a 0.255s gap to the Integro Yamaha man with Kennedy's team-mate Brad Jones in third half a second in arrears.
Aussie wildcard Tom Toparis cut his gap to the leaders, finishing six-tenths down on Kennedy wirh GP2 runner Mason Law in fifth place.
